Getting saucy today and all week. This versatile green sauce is the perfect blend of herbs and spices to jazz up those weekday meals. It takes 5 minutes to whip up a big batch and you can use it on all week on salad, burgers, and sides.
This is a low calorie sauce that goes well with almost anything. It combines the flavors of a chimichurri sauce, a tahini sauce, and a green chutney. I also add some grated cojita cheese to give it a little extra thickness. What I like best about it is that it only requires a handful of ingredients but has a huge burst of flavors.
Ingredients:
- 2 cup cilantro
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp jalapeño sauce from Trader Joe’s (or 1 jalapeño seeded and diced)
- 2 tbsp Southwest Greek Yogurt Dip from Trader Joe’s (or regular greek yogurt)
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup water (use less if you want a thicker sauce)
Instructions:
Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until it becomes a nice puree.
